This Privacy Policy describes how Litranite (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you use our application and website.

The Short Version

Litranite the app collects absolutely nothing. No accounts, no tracking, no data sent anywhere. Everything you do in the app stays on your own device.

Our website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics — a privacy-first, cookieless service — to understand how visitors find and use the site. No cookies are set, and no personal information is collected beyond standard anonymous usage data.

The Application

Litranite is a fully offline desktop application. It does not connect to the internet, does not require an account, and does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our end.

All files you create — notes, annotations, quotes, essays — are saved as plain markdown and JSON files directly on your own device. We have no access to them. Ever.

This includes:

• No collection of your name, email, or any personal information
• No usage analytics or crash reporting
• No tracking of what you read, write, or annotate
• No advertising or third-party data sharing
• No cloud storage of any kind

Your data is yours. Fully and completely.

The Website

Our website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics — a privacy-first, cookieless analytics service — to help us understand how visitors discover and navigate the site. This may include:

• Pages visited and overall visit counts
• General geographic location (country level)
• Device type, browser, and operating system
• How you arrived at the site (the referring link)

This data is anonymous and aggregated — we cannot identify you personally from it. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies, does not store anything on your device, and does not track you across other websites.

Because it sets no cookies and collects no personal data, there is nothing you need to opt out of. If you prefer, you can still block the analytics script with any content blocker or privacy extension, and the website will work exactly the same.

Cookies

Our website sets no cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics is entirely cookieless, and we do not use advertising cookies, remarketing cookies, or any other tracking cookies of any kind.

Because no cookies are used, there is nothing to disable — and if your browser blocks cookies or scripts, the website will still function normally.

Backups

When you export a .litranite backup file, it is saved directly to your device. We do not have access to your backup files and they are never uploaded anywhere unless you choose to do so yourself.

Children’s Privacy

Litranite is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Since the app collects no data and the website only uses anonymous analytics, no personal data about children is collected or stored.

Links to Other Websites

Our website may contain links to external sites such as GitHub. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies separately.

Changes to This Policy

If we make any changes to this policy, we will update this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top. We will notify users prominently before any significant change takes effect.
